Happy new year! I hope everyone has had a great winter holiday. For those of you who did not attend the parent meeting on the last day of school, the fall semester was the last for the two teachers of the beginning and intermediate class.
It is approaching the start of the new semester and we have come to the conclusion that there will be no Chinese classes in the spring semester.
Since we were unable to find new teachers in time for the spring semester, we discussed temporarily closing down the school to refocus our efforts towards a new curriculum. This new curriculum will ideally be an after-school program targeting younger children, meeting 2-3 times a week. We are aiming to start the new curriculum in the fall semester. If you have any opinions about the change, please let us know.
This is your reminder to the parents interested in the soap making class. This week in Mrs. Lin’s room, I will bring a selection of fragrances which you can choose from. You will then get a small vial of that fragrance for yourself in the next class, and you will use that fragrance in all the creations we make. We will also discuss some of the tools that you need to bring 🙂
Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.
Gainesville Chinese School would like to offer parent classes starting Fall 2015.
This year, we are proud to announce our new leaders:
